Carrissa Pfest

Inspired by Gaultier at the tender age of 8, I knew mixing costuming and art were my passion, going on to pursue a fashion design degree at ISU and getting to study abroad at the London College of Fashion. 

​Since my move from sweet home Chicago to NYC, I've gotten to costume celebs like Rob Thomas, Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Buffett while working for Frankie Steinz Costumes, one of the premier high-end costume studios in New York City. 

 

Right now, I'm working with premiere 80's band Jessie's Girl currently playing every Saturday night at Le Poisson Rouge in the West Village. My designs and stylist work have been displayed in Time Out NY, on Fox 5, and in the New York Post. You can find me at http://jessiesgirlnyc.com/band/meet-the-team. I provide wardrobe styling, costume creation, photo shoot help and act as a dresser at gigs. I also work with Party In the USA, an NYC based band that plays kid-friendly versions of top radio hits. 

 

I really enjoy doing commisson work, most recently for burlesque star Penny Candy and for Mark Rinzel, lead singer in the Police tribute band, New York's Finest. The jacket I made for Mark can be seen above in the center picture, and was worn for a tour of Brazil this year.
